HEALTH DEPARTMENT STATUS
  • As of this advisory, there are 1,794 positive cases of COVID-19 and 88 deaths in Oklahoma. There are still 47 positive cases in Comanche County. Please follow CDC guidelines and the Governor’s executive order. 
  • The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) continues to support guidelines from the CDC related to social distancing and personal hygiene. OSDH encourages Oklahomans to stay home, reduce person-to-person contact, wash hands frequently, and avoid touching your face. If you develop symptoms such as fever, shortness of breath or cough, please contact your medical professional or call the COVID-19 call center at 877-215-8336 or 211 for assistance.

​REMINDER: UNEMPLOYMENT TOWN HALL TODAY

  • Anyone seeking UNEMPLOYMENT information can receive it at 1 p.m. TODAY during a virtual town hall hosted by the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, the state’s unemployment agency.
  • Free REGISTRATION is available at eventbrite.com/d/online/oesc/

DAILY STATISTICAL SNAPSHOT
  • RECOVERIES were up by 104, putting total recoveries at 790.
  • There have been 22,370 TESTS reported.
  • There are 186 people HOSPITALIZED, with 122 of them in ICU, leaving 39% of the state’s current ICU beds available. There have been 427 hospitalizations over the course of the pandemic.
  • 12.5 days of personal protective equipment is on hand for the state, with ongoing efforts to secure more.
 
HOSPITAL SURGE PLAN TO BE ANNOUNCED
  • The state’s COVID-19 task force is expected to announce Oklahoma’s HOSPITAL surge plan to increase hospital capacity, if necessary, to handle a potential spike in COVID-19 hospital admissions.
 
CYBERFRAUD ALERT ISSUED FOR REMOTE WORKERS
  • The United States and United Kingdom issued a joint cyber alert warning of increased malicious CYBERFRAUD activities using COVID-19 to prey on people’s goodwill, curiosity and concern, and exploit organizations that establish remote work options. 
  • Specifically, the alert WARNED against exploitation of virtual private networks, phishing email and text messages about COVID-19, and websites deceptively advertised as COVID 19 sites.
