Let’s Stay Calm, Stay Positive, and STAY HOME!


HEALTH DEPARTMENT STATUS
  • As of this advisory, there are 2,184 positive cases of COVID-19 and 108 deaths in Oklahoma. There are now 52 positive cases in Comanche County. Please follow CDC guidelines and the Governor’s executive order. 
  • The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) continues to support guidelines from the CDC related to social distancing and personal hygiene. OSDH encourages Oklahomans to stay home, reduce person-to-person contact, wash hands frequently, and avoid touching your face. If you develop symptoms such as fever, shortness of breath or cough, please contact your medical professional or call the COVID-19 call center at 877-215-8336 or 211 for assistance.

 MEDICAID, MEDICARE MONEY SENT TO OKLAHOMA 
  • Oklahoma healthcare providers have received $632.5 million in accelerated Medicaid and Medicare funds to help with CASHFLOW during the COVID-19 outbreak.
  • The accelerated funds are being sent by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to providers as part of federal relief efforts in the CARES Act. The advance payments are LOANS providers must pay back.     
 
GOVERNMENT RELIEF FUNDING      
  • The U.S. Treasury Department launched the application portal for Oklahoma’s initial $1.5 billion share of the $150 billion in federal RELIEF funds for governments.
  • Most of this round of funding, which is largely RESTRICTED to direct COVID-19 expenses, is for state government and the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas.
  • TRIBAL GOVERNMENT relief funding will also be available in this round of funding. Details and application processes are still being determined.
 
DAILY STATISTICAL SNAPSHOT (As of Yesterday)
  • RECOVERIES were up by 48, putting total recoveries at 1,060. DEATHS were up by three, putting total deaths at 99.
  • There have been 28,225 TESTS reported, with 2,069 CONFIRMED cases after 99 new cases yesterday.
  • There are 194 people HOSPITALIZED, with 107 of them in ICU, leaving 43% of the state’s current ICU beds available. There have been 457 hospitalizations over the course of the pandemic.
  • There are now 80 TESTING sites statewide. Get details at coronavirus.health.ok.gov/drive-thru-testing
