Let’s Stay Calm, Stay Positive, and STAY HOME!


HEALTH DEPARTMENT STATUS
  • As of this advisory, there are 2,465 positive cases of COVID-19 and 136 deaths in Oklahoma. Please follow CDC guidelines and the Governor’s executive order. 
  • The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) continues to support guidelines from the CDC related to social distancing and personal hygiene. OSDH encourages Oklahomans to stay home, reduce person-to-person contact, wash hands frequently, and avoid touching your face. If you develop symptoms such as fever, shortness of breath or cough, please contact your medical professional or call the COVID-19 call center at 877-215-8336 or 211 for assistance.

STATE BRIEFED ON FEDERAL REOPENING GUIDELINES

  • State and local officials nationwide, including Governor Stitt, participated in a briefing with President Trump and federal officials about GUIDELINES for states to reopen.
  • Governors, who will be largely responsible for making DECISIONS for their own states, were urged to base decisions on new federal guidelines.
  • The guidelines RECOMMEND a phased-in reopening process upon sustained periods of declining COVID activity. Several precautions are recommended to remain in place as reopening’s are phased in over time. Details are at whitehouse.gov/openingamerica
  • Governor Stitt has said Oklahoma’s reopening plan is being developed and will be released soon.
 
DAILY STATISTICAL SNAPSHOT
  • RECOVERIES were up by 91, putting total recoveries at 1,331. DEATHS were up by 8, putting total deaths at 131.
  • There have been 33,545 TESTS reported, with 2,357 CONFIRMED cases after 94 new cases yesterday.
  • There are 895 ACTIVE cases and 154 people HOSPITALIZED, with 62 of them in ICU, leaving 38% of the state’s current ICU beds available. There have been 528 hospitalizations over the course of the pandemic.
